Bend inner
radius.

Your material.
Your tooling. Your radius.

Choose a stock thickness and see the inside radius listed on its material page—plus the setup behind it.

Open this material

Select the exact stock thickness. A catalog radius is the reference for that tooling setup; it is not a guaranteed minimum radius for every bend in the alloy.

03 / Compare stock thicknesses

Same alloy. Different setup.

Compare catalog thicknesses and choose a row to load that setup. Entries that need review do not provide a standard bend recommendation.

04 / Read the radius correctly

The number belongs to the setup.

Inside is the CAD radius.

R measures the inner surface of the bend. The outside radius is R + T, where T is stock thickness. Use the inside radius in your sheet metal feature.

Tooling data, in one place.

This tool reads the same catalog as the material pages. Inside radius, K-factor, die, punch, and minimum flange stay together. Outside radius and R/T are calculated from those values.

Check the actual part.

Catalog values are design references. Alloy, temper, rolling direction, tooling, and part geometry matter. Confirm the setup on a test bend before production, especially where the catalog carries a tooling note.
